Elections & Governance
Democratic processes, transparent leadership, and the voice of every alumnus — governance at CRUGAA is built on trust and accountability.
Constitutional Process
Electoral Framework
CRUGAA elections are governed by the Electoral Bylaw enshrined in the association's constitution. This framework ensures free, fair, and transparent elections that reflect the will of the membership.
The independent Electoral Committee oversees the entire process — from candidate nominations and screening to ballot administration and result certification. All members in good standing (with current dues) are eligible to vote and to seek office.

Petitions are reviewed by the Conflict Resolution Panel — an independent body comprising legal professionals and senior alumni with no stake in the contested election.
All petitions must be filed within 14 days of result publication. The Panel is required to deliver a ruling within 30 days of receiving a petition.
Submit a PetitionFile Your Petition
Submit a formal written petition outlining the specific grievance, supporting evidence, and the resolution you seek.
Panel Review
The Conflict Resolution Panel reviews the petition, requests additional information if needed, and may invite both parties for a hearing.
Ruling & Enforcement
The Panel delivers a binding ruling. Outcomes may include result reaffirmation, partial recount, or in rare cases, a fresh election for the contested position.
